Grief and Loss
It's like you can't breathe.
You try but it hurts so you just end up breathing tiny little breaths. Over and over.
It just can’t be real that
they're gone.
Grief has swallowed you up and you're living life from behind its teeth, watching yourself go through the motions because a life without that person doesn't feel like living.
I wish you had a choice in whether to bear this, but none of us do. Grief will touch us all.
What you can choose is to find someone to help you bear it.

You may be numb.
Maybe ENRAGED. Or maybe you think it’ll pass with time.
You may be on your psychological and actual knees.
You are struggling to do the basic things or doing them on
robot mode.
You may have children to care for and work to show up to.
If a person, pet, experience, or a part of yourself you deeply care for has died, I get it.
Grief is an experience that will shape you forever. You will never be the same.
That’s just how it is with LOVE.
As cheese balls as that sounds, it’s true.
But with space and patience, slowly you'll breathe again.
